Let's Clarify

Innovation? Invention? Movement?

What is the difference?

Are you interested in participating in taking action towards the SDGs? Here you will understand the difference between inventions, innovations, and movements from real-world examples so that you can get inspired for your own idea!

Invention

An original (new) idea to solve a problem.

In this project, your solution could be a tangible creation that nobody else has ever created. Here you can build, test, fail, and learn over and over!

Innovation

An improvement or change to an existing idea or product.

In this project, your solution could involve taking an already existing idea, and making it better! This could involve prototypes, advertising, and feedback!

Movement

An influential act of inspiring, educating, and reaching out to others.

In this social project, your solution could involve educating and inspiring others in addition to proving change can be made when people work together.

Ready for some examples?

Inventions

Totally new and creative ideas! Some examples here may seem quite silly, but for your project, there is no limit on creativity, as long as you are working towards the United Nations Global Goals!

Innovations

So many advances in our society are because people saw potential in existing ideas and worked hard to make them BETTER! Investigate the world of great solutions and make improvements that help reach one of the global goals!

Movements

Love bringing people and ideas together? Find yourself to be very social and love hands-on group projects? Starting a movement could be the right project for you!
